We went to Yuma for 3 days this year, and had an awesome visit. I think this was the best visit since I moved out, I really couldn'thave asked for a better Christmas. (Well, a big sparkly diamond wouldn't have hurt, but the kitten is just fine for now)
Nick and I drove my little honda down, with no A/C and no radio, and my pretty duct taped drivers side window... fun fun... We spent christmas day playing at the West Wetlands Park, which was a blast (I even got a sunburn, who does that on Christmas day?!?!?!?)... had my famous Pork Roast Alfredo for dinner, and really enjoyed each other's company. Arika and I both got kittens, I had to beg and beg to get Nick to let me bring mine home, but now she loves him more than me! We named her Cleo, and she has been a great little sister to Chloe ( Our 8 year old grouch who I will post pictures of later) We also got a fancy Wolf Gang Puck knife set, which I am crazy about! I LLOOOOOOVVVEEEE it! Thank you MOM and DAD! Nick's Mom sent us giftcards, so I had a lot of fun buying myself some fun stuff at Target, which I would have had to say no to otherwise. I somehow managed to leave my entire bag of makeup and hair tools home... so I was fresh faced the whole trip, ha ha ha, so please forgive the pictures. It was a true trial for me, thankfully Arika is almost the same skin color as me:)
We stayed at Marlene's house, and I am so thankful to her for having us! I really love the Broobergs, and am so glad to be included in their family. Sadly, Meredith wasn't there.... But I gladly took her place. I miss you MERE! We stayed up waaaaaay to late playing rock band, and laughed for hours.
I'm really glad the trip worked out, I am really looking forward to going back.
